TUÍRE KAYAPÓ: PROTECTOR OF THE RIVERS

Illustration made in honor of Tuíre Kayapó for the Call for Activist Design and APIB by   Free Land Camp 2024, the largest mobilization of Indigenous Peoples in the fight for the demarcation of territories that have always belonged to them, against the Temporal Framework and genocide. These other arts are gathered in the Floresta Ativista gallery .

"The forests, the rivers, the indigenous peoples, it is their survival that I defend to this day. I do not want them to kill the little land that is left. I do not want them to attack the little land that is left. I do not want the indigenous people to continue dying. That is why I am here saying this, fighting to this day. I want my grandchildren, my children, the children of my grandchildren, to be able to continue existing." - Tuíre Kayapó
